Field Trip Guidelines

 

WaterWorks Museum – Flowing with Ideas

  • Tours are offered Monday-Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
  • Allow approximately 2 hours for the full tour.
  • Admission is $5.00 per student, $5.00 per chaperone, teachers are free. 
  • Schools/Camps should arrange and provide their own transportation.
  • Louisville Water prefers one adult chaperone per every 12 students. Teachers and/or group leaders are responsible for students while visiting. 
  • A portion of the experience is outdoors and some walking is required so please dress appropriately. Comfortable walking shoes are a must. In the case of severe or inclement weather tours may have to be cancelled and/or rescheduled.
  • Minimum of 12 and maximum of 60 students per tour. For larger groups, please talk with staff when making your reservation, as there are some alternate options.
  • Students must be at least 6 years old to tour some facilities.  Age regulations are required due to safety.  You may bring younger children but they will not be allowed inside the working pumping station and must be chaperoned while they wait for other participants to tour.  
  • No indoor facility access for lunch but you may  use outdoor grounds area.  Schools/groups are responsible for all clean up.  There are also 2 parks with picnic areas less than ¼ mile from Louisville Water Tower Park.  
  • Please let us know in advance if you have participants with special needs or requirements.
  • No photography is allowed inside the working pump stations.
  • There is a retail area on site with a range of Water Tower merchandise.
  • Restrooms available.
